READING: At the Folger Theatre, authors Jonathan Lethem (Motherless Brooklyn) and Stacy D'Erasmo (A Seahorse Year) discuss their literary styles and read from their new novels, which are both set in post-9/11 New York City: D'Erasmo’s The Sky Below and Lethem's Chronic City. 7:30 p.m., tickets are $15.

MUSIC: The Boss is in town. Again. If you've been having trouble finding tickets (or just lack the cash for some), consider heading over to see Javelin and The Very Best at DC9 instead. Tickets are $10, but for an additional $12, you can play the big shot and get a "VIP" ticket that includes an autographed copy of their latest CD (which features vocals by M.I.A. and Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig). 9 p.m., 18+.

MOVIE: The AFI's terrific Noir City DC series is winding down this week, so if you haven't made it up to Silver Spring yet to catch one of the selections, make the effort tonight, when you'll also get the festival's best deal. Catch a $10 double feature of Henry Levin's Night Editor at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by Joseph Pevney's Shakedown. That's two features for the price of one.

BLUES: Blues man Memphis Gold, a D.C. staple, wrote much of the material for his 2009 release, Gator Gon' Bitechu!, from a hospital bed. In 2008, he suffered a major fall that broke his spine in three places. Despite predictions that he would never walk again, Gold has returned to playing, and will be leading a group tonight at Blue Monday Blues. 6 to 9 p.m. $5

damn, that's a great picture!

It literally made my day. Well, that and Christopher Walken doing a dramatic reading of Lady Gaga's Poker Face.

"Take me to the muffin man, and step on it!"

The Gingerbread Man has no pockets. It's safe to say that the driver was strangled and dumped in an alley. Forensics
is gonna have a field day. Sweet dreams.

"What do you mean there's a f*cking automatic $4 surcharge for f*cking Gingerbread Man costumes you f*cking prick"

OMG ... that picture is how I FELT this morning.

Is that why you were so quiet? I made coffee!
