Former Alexandria Police Chief Appears in Drunk Driving PSA
Former Alexandria Police Chief David Baker is back in the news this week, thanks to agreeing to appear in this PSA for the DUICheckpoint campaign, a joint effort from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, the Maryland Department of Transportation and the District of Columbia Department of Transportation. You'll recall that Baker retired from his position shortly before pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated and serving five days in jail.
Check out the PSA for yourself, which we've posted above. Hopefully Baker's experience can help scare more locals away from making the same bad choice he did.

so they show footage of a checkpoint on the ellington bridge. isn't that were one of our esteemed shadow senators was pulled over for DUI? would be lovely if he'd have the guts david baker does to show his disgraced face on camera.
This is up there with an ex-boyfriend appearing on his ex-girlfriends answering machine.
"Are you going to kill someone tonight?"
What?!
It's a sad commentary that they titled the video "Even a Police Chief".
In a world where the police didn't routinely hold themselves above the law, this video would have been called "Especially a Police Chief."
It's funny how in this PSA the ex-chief talks about his whole life going to hell because of "one bad decision."
Like he happened to get caught the one and only time he drove drunk.
good point.....
